Hello Friends,

My self Prince Pal Singh, Full-time UX UI Consultant, but at the weekend, I become a hobbyist Photographer & Art Appreciator.

Last weekend I visited Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi Sector 16 (Chandigarh) to the best commercial artwork by our chandigarian artists.

With an aim to give exposure to emerging artists, a new exhibition here will showcase over 1000+ artworks by 65 artists. All feature works of art on themes ranging from Indian mythology and vintage to culture, nature, abstract, and more.

The media used is also a mixed bag of charcoal on paper, acrylic on canvas, pebbles, paper, sculpture, and oil on canvas. “The exhibition brings to light some of the upcoming talents with a vision of bringing art beyond boundaries.

“It provides a common ground to all the artists, to illustrate the ever binding nature of art, which is deeply connected with their thoughts, emotions, and lives.”

Artist #1 - Gurpreet Singh

Gurpreet Singh - Pebble Artist

Firstly let me introduce you one the finest Pebble artist - Mr. Gurpreet Singh

During the discussion, he told me how he collects those pebbles from the street and uses it as it is. This is the most time-consuming part of the whole artwork. In a few paintings, he added wooden, peacock features and other elements on canvas as per the mood of the art. Enjoy his creation.

Prince Pal Singh

This is me

I'm Prince Pal Singh, Turned Art Critic into Art Appreciator.

As an art appreciator, I tell artists what to look out for in a painting, what its highlights (and the artist’s highlights) are, what is part of the artist’s — or his peers’ — influence and trends, what the colors/medium, etc. reflect or suggest. I celebrate each work and does not underplay the strengths, nor over-suggest the weaknesses. In fact, I never say negative about an artist or an artist’s work.

Stay in touch with me, I will keep sharing the art on this blog.
