What is Beta Testing?
Beta testing is when someone launches an unfinished product to a select group of users to see how it performs in the real world.
Beta testing is a type of field test and the second phase of software testing in which a sample of the target audience tries out the product. Initially, the term alpha test meant the first stage of testing in the software development process. Beta is the second letter of the Greek alphabet, This test was executed after the alpha test.
This testing is done at the end of the software testing life cycle. This type of testing can be considered external user acceptance testing. Real users do this test and it helps in providing the actual position of the quality.
