Overview
Big data is a collective term for all the digital technologies of the latest times that are related to the processing of large amounts of data and developing further.
The definition of big data is data that contains greater variety, accessed in increasing volumes and with more velocity. This is also known as the three concepts: volume, variety, and velocity.
Big data refers to complex data sets that are too large to be handled by traditional data-processing application software. Data with many fields (rows) provides greater statistical power, whereas data with higher complexity (more columns or features) can lead to higher false discovery rates. Big data analysis challenges include search, sharing, transfer, data storage, data capture, data analysis, visualization, querying, information privacy, updating, and data sourcing.
Big data is a term that describes the large, difficult-to-manage amounts of data – both structured and unstructured. Big data can be analyzed for insights that improve decisions and give the confidence to make strategic business moves.
