What is Tool Tip?

Overview

A tooltip shows users a hint when they hover over an element indicating the item's name or purpose. Tooltips are often used to specify additional information about something when the user moves the mouse pointer over an element: up, right, down, or left.

A tooltip is a concept used in HTML to show some additional information about a particular selected element. This can be done when the user hovers the mouse over an element that is using a tooltip to display specified information about that element.

A tooltip is a non-modal, non-blocking, non-interactive overlay that contains supplemental information for the user interface. It is hidden by default and unhides when an associated element is hovered over or focused.
