What is Cognitive Processing?

Overview

The process of a user applying their memory, knowledge, and judgment when experiencing a design, and then taking an action is called Cognitive Processing. Some of the many different cognitive processes involved include thinking, knowing, remembering, judging, and problem-solving.

Cognition is a term used to refer to the mental processes involved in acquiring knowledge and understanding. Cognitive processes are a series of chemical and electrical signals from our brains that allow us to comprehend our environment and gain knowledge. Cognitive processing is all processes in which we can only see the world with our eyes such as thinking, feeling, and imagining. The cognitive processes allow us to form cultures, societies, friends, and professions, many important aspects of human life.
