What is Consistency?
Consistency is the most powerful usability principle of UX design process. Once Jakob Nielsen said- “When things always behave the same, users don't have to worry about what will happen”. A User-friendly and usable design always provides a consistent experience.
If the user wants to find a new way to solve a similar problem for a single design, he would be confused and frustrated at the same time. Consistency helps in reducing the learning time for a product as the user becomes familiar with the given experience.
Consistency can be increased by adding new behaviors to the design experience. And the best way to do this is by collecting user feedback. Involving the user in the design process and their feedback will tell us what needs to be changed in the product, and where the fixture can be changed for improvement.
