What is Informational Components?

Overview

Informational components tell users or visitors that something is processing. One of the most common informational components is a simple progress bar. It tells you how much time is left until the action is completed. It is a way of sharing information with users to keep them engaged.

An informational component is responsible for the information in sentences, where information is defined as that part of the proposed material that contributes knowledge to the listener's knowledge repository.

Informational primitives are combined into four potentially different information-packaging instructions, which instruct listeners to retrieve information from a sentence and enter it into their knowledge repository in a specific way.

Informational components share relevant information with users. The informational components are icons, progress bars, tooltips, notifications, message boxes, and modal windows.
