What is UI Element?

Overview

User Interface (UI) elements are the parts that we use to build an app or website. They add interactivity to the user interface, providing touchpoints for the user as they navigate their way; Think buttons, scrollbars, menu items, and checkboxes.

When deploying UI automation, you may need to provide UI elements as inputs. To add a new UI element, you can do it directly from the action property or through the UI Elements pane of Flow Designer.

Desktop flow uses UI elements to interact with applications and web pages without resorting to image recognition and absolute coordinates. UI elements are used as input to most UI automation and browser automation actions and identify specific elements on windows and web pages.
