Overview

Product roadmap maps out the vision and strategy for a product that sets goals and priorities for the creation and development of the product. A product roadmap is high-level visual summary that maps the vision and direction of your product offering over time; it outlines the what and why behind the product.

A product roadmap is a Strategic Communication Tool in the Product Manager's depository that shared source of truth that outlines the product's vision, direction, priorities, and progress over time. It is an action plan that aligns the organization around the short- and long-term goals for the product or project, and how they will be achieved.
