What is Loader or Loading Bar?

Overview

A Loader or Loading Bar, also known as a throbber, or loading icon, is an animated graphical control element used to show that a computer program is performing an action in the background (such as downloading content, performing intensive calculations, or communicating with an external device).

The Loader or Loading Bar is usually found on the side of the program's toolbar or menu bar. loader takes various forms but is usually incorporated into the program's logo.

The loader is usually a still image (also referred to as its rest frame), unless the program is performing an action, during which time the loading bar is animated in a loop to let the user know that the program is busy (and not frozen).

Once the action is completed, the loader returns to its resting frame.
